Looking specifically for medication-response PGx testing?

The six products above include metabolism, healthy-aging, epigenetic, broader wellness, and genetic-risk options. They are not all the same as a dedicated pharmacogenetic test that examines gene–medication relationships. Review the Pharmacogenetic Testing Canada page when your main question concerns medication response.

Choose by purpose

Which test is the closest match?

Start with the question you want the report to address. A focused test is usually easier to compare and interpret, while a broader test may cover more categories but take longer to process.

1

For a single metabolism question

Compare the Alcohol Metabolism and Caffeine Sensitivity tests. Both use a focused scope and have the lowest regular price.

2

For healthy aging or epigenetic insight

Compare the Longevity Test with the DNA Methylation Test. Their report focus differs, even though both relate to long-term wellness planning.

3

For broader health information

Compare KnowYourself with the Genetic Predisposition Disease Test. KnowYourself is broader, while the predisposition test is more specifically centred on inherited disease-risk screening.

Shipping and added costs

Charges to confirm before you pay

Standard postal delivery of a testing kit within Canada is $15 CAD. Faster courier delivery may be requested, but courier pricing depends on the destination and service level and must be confirmed separately.

Additional charges may also apply when a parcel is returned because of an incorrect address, refusal of delivery, or failure to collect it. Recollection or retesting costs may apply when a sample problem is caused by collection or handling rather than a laboratory error.

1

Confirm your address

Use a complete delivery address, accurate contact details, and a location where the kit can be received.

2

Follow the supplied return instructions

Return requirements vary by test. Use the address and packaging directions included with your kit.

3

Request courier pricing before dispatch

Optional courier charges are not included in the standard product or postal-shipping price.

Insurance and payment

Private insurance and health spending accounts

These prices are presented as self-pay retail prices. Reimbursement is not guaranteed and may depend on the test, the reason for testing, provider involvement, the benefit plan, and the documentation requested by the insurer or health spending account administrator.

Check eligibility before ordering when reimbursement will affect your decision. Keep your order confirmation and itemized receipt, and ask your plan administrator whether pre-approval, a referral, or medical-necessity documentation is required.

Practical answers

Pricing questions

Are these sale prices?

No. The comparison table uses the regular Canadian retail price for each product, even when a temporary promotion appears elsewhere on the website.

Is standard shipping included in the product price?

No. Standard postal delivery of the kit within Canada is $15 CAD. Optional courier delivery is quoted separately.

When does the turnaround time begin?

Laboratory turnaround begins after the laboratory receives an acceptable sample. It does not include delivery to you or the time needed to return the sample.

Are all six products pharmacogenetic medication tests?

No. The shop includes focused metabolism, healthy-aging, epigenetic, broader wellness, and genetic-risk products. A dedicated PGx test is specifically concerned with gene–medication relationships.

Does a genetic predisposition result diagnose a disease?

No. A predisposition result identifies selected inherited risk patterns. It does not establish that a person currently has, or will develop, a medical condition.

Can I change medication based on a DNA report?

Do not start, stop, or change medication based only on a genetic report. Medication-related findings should be reviewed with the clinician or pharmacist responsible for your care.
